PRESS RELEASE 9th November 2014 New Delhi, 9, Nov- The conspiracy of Waqf land mafia active in Karbala Jorbagh area was today failed when thousands of people witnessed warmth and communal harmony during the Guru Nanak Gurpurab procession. The management committee of Dargah Shah-e-Mardan and karbala Jorbagh, Anjuman-e-Haideri (AEH) served cold bottled water to the devotees in the religious procession. Bahadur Abbas Naqvi, General Secretary of Anjuman-e-Haideri, who was looking after the whole exercise, said that despite the recent attempt by wakf land mafia to disturb communal harmony, people have given befitting response by today’s gesture. Instead they displayed more enthusiasm in welcoming the devotees during Muharram and Gurunanak Gurupurab. Both sides have come forward for the kind gesture and it should be encouraged on a larger scale. “We will have better arrangements for serving the devotees on the occasion of Guru Nanak Gurpurab next year” he said. Recently on 4th November, the Muharram day, residents of B. K. Dutt Colony also served water to thousands of Muslim devotees. The gesture was welcomed by people of both the communities. The leading persons of Gurudwara Prabandhak Committee and Resident Welfare Associations were thankful for the reciprocal step taken by the Muslim body.
