PRESS RELEASE Arrival of ballot papers for October 7, 2014 by-elections The Malawi Electoral Commission (MEC) wishes to inform all political parties, candidates, civil society organsations and all stakeholders that ballot papers for the by-elections are scheduled to arrive at Chileka International Airport as follows: DATE : 1st October, 2104 TIME : 7.50AM The ballot papers will be taken from the airport the same day and will be kept at the warehouse at MEC head office in Blantyre. Distribution of the ballot papers to the districts will be on 4th October, 2014. Stakeholders are invited to witness the arrival of the ballot papers and the warehousing at the MEC head office. All stakeholders wishing to observe the process should submit the names of their representatives to Sangwani Mwafulirwa through phone 0999274304 or email [email protected] . The ballot papers were printed in South Africa by security printer, Renform with financial support of the UNDP.
