PRESS RELEASE Ben Dixon joins on Solo Eb Tuba Black Dyke has confirmed the anticipated news that Grimethorpes young star tuba player Ben Dixon will join on Solo Eb tuba. Ben is the current winner of the Mortimer performance prize from Salford University, and the recipient of a Besson scholarship to study a Masters in Performance at the RNCM. Ben commented I am really looking forward to my future with Black Dyke. I’ve had a great three years with Grimethorpe and would like to thank everyone associated with the band for their help and support during this time. I would also like to give special thanks to Ray Sykes for all his support over the past 10 years Bens first concert will be 21st November at the Sheffield Salvation Army Citadel, coincidentally the place where he first started his playing career.
