PRESS RELEASE Cabinet of Ministers Mandates Action be taken to Address Serious Problems At the Civil Status Registry The Cabinet of Ministers is extremely concerned over the chronic problems that plague the Civil Status Registry and which negatively impact the ability of this office to provide an adequate service to the general public. As a result, the Cabinet has directed the Ministry of the Public Service, Information and Broadcasting to undertake a comprehensive review of the processes and procedures employed at the Civil Status Registry and to submit for Cabinet’s consideration a plan of action for improving the operations of the Civil Status Registry. The first area of focus for the Ministry of the Public Service, Information and Broadcasting in its review will be the operations of the Adjudicator’s Office. As part of its review, the Ministry of the Public Service, Information and Broadcasting will be soliciting the views and opinions of members of the public who use the services at the Registry.
