PRESS RELEASE Homicide The Stamford Police Departments Bureau of Criminal Investigation is investigating the stabbing death of 47 Y/O Mahomed Kamal DOB: 03/02/67 that occurred in the vicinity of 150 Doolittle Rd, Stamford Ct. On Wednesday 08/27/14 and at approximately 0830 hrs Stamford Police were dispatched to the area of 150 Doolittle Rd and discovered the body of a male and a Stamford Taxi that were believed to be involved in a collision into the wooded portion of the road. Landscapers in the area reported that they discovered a body on the lawn of 150 Doolittle Rd and a Stamford Taxi impaled in the wooded portion off the roadway. BCI arrived and determined that this was a Homicide and that the male was stabbed multiple times in his torso area. He was pronounced deceased at the scene and he was identified as 47 Y/O Stamford resident Mahomed Kamal. The scene was processed and the States medical examiner arrived to secure the body for an autopsy. We are currently in the beginning phases of this investigation however we do believe a violent struggle occurred both inside and outside of the cab that led to the death of Mr Kamal. We believe a knife was used in this incident and has not been recovered. If anyone in that area had seen anything suspicious last night after 3 am they are urged to call the SPD detective bureau.
