PRESS RELEASE October 14, 2014 On October 13, 2014 Aurlethia T. Pollock, 23, of Federalsburg, MD was charged on a criminal summons with three counts of theft under $100, two counts of theft under $1,000 and one count of theft scheme. Pollock is accused of stealing electronic items from Wal-Mart between September 15 and October 2, 2014 by concealing them on her person and exiting the store without paying for the items. On October 13, 2014 Phillip W. Spurry, 19, of Easton, MD was charged with 2nd degree assault, disorderly conduct, malicious destruction of property, reckless endangerment, possession of drug paraphernalia and discharging an air gun in town limits. Officers responded to the 300 block of N. Aurora Street when the victim reported that they had been shot by a paintball. The victim was driving on N. Aurora Street when their vehicle began being pelted by objects and then one struck the victims arm. The victim stopped and saw someone in a driveway and the the person ran. Witnesses identified Spurry as the suspect and Spurry later turned himself in to police. Spurry was being held pending having an attorney present at his bail hearing before the commissioner.
