PRESS RELEASE October 27, 2014 On October 21, 2014 Richard Lemont Dodd, Jr., 23, of St. Michaels, MD was charged with two counts of trespassing, disorderly conduct, obstructing and hindering and resisting arrest. Officers responded to the Moton Apartments for a trespassing complaint. As officers were investigating, Dodd was asked for identification, Dodd refused. Dodd became argumentative and was arrested for trespassing. Dodd pulled away from the officer and began yelling which drew a crowd of people. Dodd was released by the commissioner. On October 24, 2014 Charles Demby, 34, of Easton, MD was charged on a warrant with 2nd degree assault. Demby is accused of assaulting the victim earlier that date by Demby approaching the victim with a crowbar and the victim believing that Demby was going to strike them with the crowbar. Demby was held on a $10,000.00 bond by the court commissioner. On October 25, 2014 Kevin Matthew Keating, 26 and Anthony Lee Watkins, 23, both of Easton, MD were charged with theft under $100, theft less than $1000 and theft scheme less than $1000. Officers responded to Kohls when store security reported that Keating and Watkins had taken clothing off the racks, put it on and then exited the store without paying for the merchandise. Both were located outside of the store and a search of both revealed that they had stolen video games from Target. Value of the clothing was $225.00 and value of the video games was $242.00. Keating and Watkins were both released by the court commissioner.
