PRESS RELEASE PRESIDENT OF INDIA CONDOLES THE PASSING AWAY OF RUSSI MODY The President of India, Shri Pranab Mukherjee has condoled the passing away of Shri Russi Mody. In a condolence message, the President has said, “An iconic figure and an eminent industrialist, Shri Mody was known for his vision, hard-work, determination and immense contribution to the Indian steel industry. His entrepreneurial abilities resulted in Tata Steel becoming a benchmark for the rest of Indian industry. For his exemplary contribution to Indian industry, he was honoured with the Padma Bhushan in 1989. In the passing away of Shri Mody, the nation has lost a stalwart whose human touch endeared him to all”.
