PRESS RELEASE Monday, March 24, 2014 Contact: Susan Crum-Teague, 423-470-4616 Susan Crum-Teague to be keynote speaker at Community Fellowship for Women _____________________________________________________________ Susan Crum-Teague will be the featured speaker at the Community Fellowship for Women, which will be a pink-out in April, sponsored by the Thursday Devotional Coffee Club. Community Fellowship for Women is a monthly meeting providing women of all ages in our community to come together, regardless of their denomination, to build one another up in Christ in order to be an encouragement to one another, and to share in friendship, laughter, Gods word and His love. “We were thrilled with the response from our first Community Fellowship for Women last month,” said Lisa Martin, coordinator of the ministry. “It is evident there is a need for this type of ministry in our community. There is no question we live in a fast-paced society which often leaves us feeling exhausted and worn-out, wondering how we’re going to make it through another day. So, we’re looking forward to hearing Susan’s testimony next month as she lifts up and encourages all of us through her adversities.” Others serving on the leadership team for Community Fellowship for Women in addition to Martin and Crum-Teague, include Leslie Crutcher and Tami Smith. The next Community Fellowship for Women will take place on Thursday, April 3, from 8:30 to 10 a.m., at Station 180 Coffee Shop located at Freedom Fellowship, 3144 West Andrew Johnson Highway. There is no cost to attend. A complimentary breakfast will be provided, followed by a devotion, worship and a featured program. “Since Susan’s most recent adversity was breast cancer, we are asking all attendees to wear pink in support of her, as well as honor other women who continue their battle or in memory of those who have lost their battle to breast cancer,” said Martin. This month’s program will be “Now Why, But How” by Crum-Teague, author and motivational speaker. New to women’s ministry, Crum-Teague is following God’s guidance to support women through difficulties in overcoming challenges in the midst of adversity. Crum-Teague was given the “gift” of breast cancer in August 2013. After overcoming several prior traumatic adversities in her life, she saw this diagnosis as a new season in her life to inspire, encourage and motivate others. Crum-Teague has learned to put her full trust and faith in God, allowing Him to move her from where she is to where He wants to take her. Today, she leans fully on God, lives and celebrates one day at a time, and gives thanks to God in all circumstances of her life. Crum-Teague is a native of Greene County. She and her husband, Scott, and son, Austin, attend First Baptist Church.
