PRESS STATEMENT UPDATE 13: MORE KENYA AIRWAYS FLIGHTS ANNOUNCED AS FOCUS SHIFTS TO CLEARING BACKLOG Kenya Airways wishes to announce an enhanced schedule of international flights as we endeavor to reduce on the backlog of international passengers still stranded in Nairobi. Tomorrow’s schedule of international flights will increase with the additions being flights to Dar-Es-Salaam (KQ486), Maputo (KQ740), Gaborone (KQ710) and Yaounde (KQ526). Flight KQ486Dar-es-Salaam departing at 6.00pm, has been re instated to cater for increased demand on the route. The afternoon flight to Juba, KQ354, will depart Nairobi at 2.55pm. We are happy to announce that following partial restoration of transit processing and security screening facilities, we shall commence limited uplifting of transit passengers from outstations beginning tonight, with an extended minimum connecting time at Nairobi. This will enable us to accept transiting passengers held up in various outstations. Prior to that we had only been able to uplift passengers with their final destination being Kenya. We shall continue to enhance our operating schedule on an on-going basis and will announce further changes in due course.
