PRICE REDUCED Due to looking at a new house and work commitments, for sale is my Landrover 300tdi challenge truck. Some of you may know it in its various states of black and orange, and from been in many landrover magazines. In late 2012 and early 2013 it went through a full rebuild and face lift, to look like it does today. Since its rebuild it has competed in ONE event, the Welsh Xtrem 2013. That has been its only use since been built hence the reason for selling. So many of the parts are practically new, only covering one event. Now to start listing everything, here goes...................... V5 present SORN on tax No MOT ENGINE AND COOLING 300tdi, shows 109,000 on original clock. In late 2010 engine had a full overhaul, new seals, injectors, bearings, shells, big ends, oil pump, head skimmed and checked, new head gasket, water pump etc etc etc so I knew it was right, probably seen less than a 1000 miles since then. R380 gearbox, LT230 transfer box, intercooler removed and by pass pipe fitted, full silicone hoses in blue and red, aluminium 50mm core radiator located behind truck cab, twin 10 electric fans fitted, all water hose reinforced and ran under vehicle on chassis rails, Davies Craig electric water pump fitted to feed the rad, fans switched from cab, can run - OFF/THERMOSTAT/OVERIDE meaning fans on all the time. (Rad, fans, water pump, thermostat, wiring all one event old, new on rebuild). 10 row oil cooler fitted at back of bulkhead. (One event old, new on rebuild) Alisport PAS reservoir. Air intake located hi up the back of the cab. AXLES 24 spline axles. Ashcroft shafts and CVs in front (one event old, new 2013, so still in warranty) 4 pin diff in front, but all solenoid, switches and airline still fitted for an air locker if you fitted one. Detroit locker in rear with Ashcroft rear shafts (shafts have been in a long time so out of warranty, but never had any issues with them or the set up). Heavy duty diff pan on front. QT diff guard on rear. 10mm bar welded on rear axle casing to protect brake lines. Heavy duty drive flanges throughout. SUSPENSION, BRAKES AND STEERING 3 Flatdog springs all round. With +5 pin to pin shocks all round. (Rear shocks one event old) Gwyn Lewis hardware, spring retainers, mounts etc front and rear. QT castor correction arms front. Rose jointed rear arms, rose joints greaseable, stainless steel and no play. Adjustable pan hard rod. Heavy duty steering arms, greaseable track rods (fitted new in last few weeks) new drop arm fitted in last few weeks. Wide angle props. Braided main brake lines throughout vehicle. X brake handbrake fitted. WHEELS AND TYRES 5 x Mach 5 with custom bead locks. Powder coated one event ago. Fitted with valve protectors. All wheels fitted with tubes. 5 x Simex Xtreme trekker tyres. 35/16/10.5. Excellent tread on all 5. Hardly seen any Tarmac only off-road use. Do have signs of off-road use on walls etc, all hold air without the tubes. CHASSIS Defender 90 chassis, front legs shortened slightly for better approach angle, custom front winch tray. Rear cross member removed and chassis removed up to rear spring hangers. Custom rear end and winch tray made. Made in such a way so it could be made to 100 but never got round to it. Swivel mounted rear recovery mounts, welded solid fronts. Chassis has no rot what so ever. Air tank mounted in rear on brackets and rear mounted battery tray welded into rear. ELECTRICS AND LIGHTING Had a full rewire on all auxiliary wiring. Main 300tdi wiring loom tidied up, waste removed. Fuse box relocated higher up on bulkhead, behind the dash. All winch wiring is 70mm2 cable. 24v and 12v systems. 24v ran by 2 x odyssey PC1500 in the cab floor (18 months old). 24v alternator on custom mount (one event old, fitted 2013). Yellow top battery (one event old) powering 12v system. 120a 12v alternator for mains electrics (one event old after recon) all good wiring on alternators. Starter motor done one event after recon. 12v/engine cut off and 24v cut off fitted on dash, with additional cut off on passenger side. 4 HID spot lights on cage. 2 high level red/fog lights on rear, high level reverse/flood lights on rear. Rear LED light clusters (stop tail indicator) standard headlights, side repeaters. All lights and some other electrics fitted with water plugs for ease if removal/disconnecting. 2 bus bars fitted behind dash to allow connecting anything easy, one positive bar, one earth bar. Custom mounting for relay bank, clearly labelled. Most of the wiring is one event old, new during rebuild. WINCHES Front. Warn 8274. Gigglepin main shaft. Delta tek air freespool long drum. +40 twin top housing. 2 x 12v bow motor 2 (one event old). Albright solenoid. New wiring. External and internal winch controls fitted and cut offs. GP hardware on brake assembly. Extended fairlead. Rear. Warn 8274. Reduced diameter drum. 12v XP motor. Albright solenoid. GP hardware on brake assembly. GP free spool handle. External and internal winch controls. Standard size fairlead. Both winches are set up for 24v through 12v motors. PROTECTION AND BODYWORK QT main cage around cab. Protection and performance front challenge wings, modified to suit how I wanted it. Full custom rear tray frame. Built in waffle board storage. Spare wheel carrier. Custom rock sliders. Fuel tank guard. Custom made door protection. All aluminium panels made to fit. Resprayed white (one event old paint) all protection and other parts powder coated red (one event old) Bulkhead was re conditioned before build, no rot, completely solid, vents sealed shut. Brand new off a 2012 model landrover rear bulkhead. INTERIOR Complete new custom interior during rebuild. Seat box removed. Custom frame built to replace and raise/flat floor the inside apart from where the fuel tank still sits in original place. Fittings for the 2 PC1500 batteries on passenger side. All new aluminium panelling. Custom made aluminium dash. Fitted with digital read outs for batteries charge 12/24v. Fan controls, winch controls, original ARB locker switches, aux controls for compressor, aux lights etc etc. Original defender dials fitted too. Map light. Harness cutters both sides. 4 point, 3 harnesses (one event old). QT challenge seats (one event old) mounted on custom seat frame. Air compressor mounted inside cab, with air manifold, aux air fittings externally for inflating tyres etc. removal able panel on dash to allow excess to electrics. Fire extinguisher mounted. Hand brake relocated. Mountney steering wheel and boss. Most of this interior is only one event old. Mostly new parts. Full on board air system I have tried to list everything I can think of and apologise if I have forgotten anything. Will come with, D44 style ground anchor 125ft plasma, half an event old Spare waffle boards Spare belts etc Some winch spares Other bits I may possibly have Fully MSA compliant, ready to compete. Hundreds of photos of build etc available on request. This has been used for one event so has some battle scars, but nothing major.
