PRIDE is the hater of thankfulness. Pride in a marriage will keep you at odds with your spouse. It will tear down and tear up your harmony, unity and peace. Pride will tell yo that you are right and that you must defend your right to your spouse, but is this love? Is this how we are supposed to show love to our spouse through bad attitudes, negativity and thoughtless words spoken out of anger and frustration? No. If we truly want our marriage to be on a sure and firm foundation is must be based on love not right. 1 Corinthians 13. Love bears all things, keeps no record of wrongs, believers all things, love is patient, love is kind...yet we want to allow our flesh to act up and argue every single time we feel like we need to right. Is your right worth your marriage? Is your need to prove your point worth the heartache and grief of silent anger and bitterness from your spouse? Is your marriage a courtroom, a debate tournament or a place of safe rest and peace?
