PRIDE of CPD: We are giving a much deserved SHOUT OUT to Officer Poole, Officer Keckley, Officer Johnson & Officer Jones. This is a letter to Chief Jacobs from the head of the Cedar Run Block Watch. In light of what is going on in the news these days, I don’t want to pass along any judgements, but want you all to know how much OUR Officers do for us. Those of you who have been here at Cedar Run for a while will all probably know Officer Poole. We would not have a Blockwatch without him. He helped me to begin it and has become a cornerstone on the Eastside. Officer Keckley with all of her spunk and go get them attitude has picked up where Officer Poole left off and without her, we would not have caught the guys behind all of the air conditioner, furnace, and water heater thefts here in our subdivision. Officer Keckley has stood by our community when others wanted to give up on it and continuously asked for undercover to help keep us safe. If any of you have seen the 2 guys on second shift, Officer Jones and Officer Johnson, they are always in the area patrolling for Cedar Run. They have helped me at a moments notice and are always cruising around with windows rolled down to say hi to anyone out walking. Love those guys! I have met other officers on different shifts for our area, but these stand out as pillars in our area and want you all to know to never hesitate to call them or email them if you need anything. They do not have an easy job, but they truly believe in community just as I do, and I can never sing their praises enough for all they do for our community. I thank them with all my heart! (Patrol personnel in the Columbus Division of Police are the first responders of the Division who serve and protect hundreds of thousands of people each day. Responding to citizens calls for service around the click requires professionalism, dedication and perseverance. Officer Poole, Officer Keckley, Officer Johnson & Officer Jones demonstrated these traits and what it truly means to serve and protect. Thats why these officers are todays PRIDE of CPD.)
