PRIMARY ELECTION CANDIDATE FORUM SET FOR MONDAY NIGHT AT 7 PM This years primary ballot has only one contested City Commission race here at the beach. Opponents Margaret England and Michael Longstreet will square off along with candidates for Mosquito Control Board, Airport, Port & Waterway Authority, School Board and more this Monday Night August 11th at City Hall in St Augustine Beach. The doors open at 6:30 pm and the forum will begin promptly at 7:00. The event is sponsored by the St Augustine Beach Civic Association and will be moderated by Kathy Nelson, Editor of The Record newspaper.. Other races of interest include Incumbent Catherine Brandhost facing off against for City Commissioner Ed George for Seat 4 on the Anastasia Mosquito Control Board and School Board District 3 Incumbent Bill Mignon facing challengers Karen Harvey & Ralph Klein. The event is sponsored by the St Augustine Beach Civic Association and will be broadcast live on local cable. The broadcast will be repeated several times throughout early voting.
