PRIMARY TOPIC: Spiritual Warfare – The Invisible War ***Special call out for veteran saints and those involved in spiritual warfare that should be involved in this thread: Pretty Nina, Michael Cody McJohnson, David Saint, Rachel Baldwin, Alexandria Carson, Brian Michael Benjamin, Dana Thompson Emanuel, Jonathan Chai, Gina Hawthorn, and Nick McEachern. All Saints: Do you live in periodic or constant fear? Do you hear voices, but know they are not from a human? Do you feel like something comes over you and controls your mind and/or body? Do you suffer from a mental disease that cannot be resolved with medications? Do you get angry easily and get out of control? Have you ever been emotionally distraught, plagued with depression and/or thoughts of suicide? Do you suffer from an ailment or any physical problems in which there is seems to be no source or explanation? Do you suffer from a disease that cannot be cured? If you said “YES” to any of my questions above, you could be under spiritual warfare, a foothold, a strong hold, or even possession by a demon(s). Demons can cause all the problems that I listed and more. In this thread, we will be discussing the subject of “spiritual warfare” and “deliverance” from it. I’d like to methodically work through the various stages of learning, and application the way Chip Ingram does in his book called “The Invisible War: What Every Believer Should Know about Satan, Demons, and Spiritual Warfare.” The Holy Spirit led me to this book about eight (8) years ago so I know that it is a book inspired by Him. In this book Chip takes the reader through four (4) phases as follows: 101— What Every Believer Needs to Know Spiritual Warfare 201— How to Prepare Yourself for Spiritual Battle Spiritual Warfare 301— How to Do Battle with the Enemy and Win Spiritual Warfare 401— Deliverance from Demonic Influence I will be referencing this book throughout our discussions. In fact, I have attached the Executive Summary and the Application parts from this book for Chapter 1. Please review these help guides as well as the books that I have that I can loan out to you. For this thread let’s begin to explore the first stage “101— What Every Believer Needs to Know Spiritual Warfare.” In this first week, let’s also share personal experiences of spiritual warfare. Others can then analyzing these situations and make recommendations. If you do not feel comfortable sharing your experiences, please chose a video or article in which you believe spiritual warfare is being waged. Each week or so, I’ll post a new thread if needed to progress through the various stages of learning and application of important teachings and wisdom that you must have to be successful when standing up against Satan and his demons.
