PRISON BREAK! One of the REAL issues young people with TRUE potentials face is PARENTAL RESTRICTIONS. I have been there, in very deep ways. Let me tell you some things peculiar to AFRICAN parents. 1. They grew up in small communities, hence they compare and contrast success with that other family next door. They are very much into outshinning the other family. 2. They grew up around dumb metaphysical idols, they revere them, draw their philosophies from them, hence even when they change to Christ, what they did was just to change the idol, the psychology of worship remains. 3. They are very much attuned to evils. Sudden deaths, madness in market sqaures, barreness etc. Justifiably so, they have witnessed these things happen to friends and family, hence they are very INSECURED. Any church that doesnt give them some kind of rituals to do is not really spiritual. Life is tough, you got to do things! They say. 4.They are more attuned to hard labour and due process compared to the dynamism of brain power. They believe in false securities even if it fails, Government job is still the best, they say inspite of the hell we saw during Abachas regime and likes. Plus in many states, the government hadnt paid anything more than August salary, they are civil servants, its the peak of life. 5. They are dominated by DOGMA. Africans dont like questions, just tell them what to do. They are not about ruling the world. Slave trades and bad governments have taught them the middle class is good enough, leave the rulings for the whites. Just a few of the things you got to know about them, never forget, that in all these, the key is SENSUALITY. Give PROVES not THOUGHTS and African Parents will Agree with you.! Contd# Pastor Harry
