PRIVATE VARSITY SHUT DOWN AS STUDENTS PROTEST TUITION INCREMENT: It was drama today at the foreign links campus, moro when students who were supposed to write their exams were prevented from doing so due to a protest being sponsored by some concerned students of the school.the students who have been reading and preparing for their morning paper got to the campus and met the gate under lock as students barred entrance into the campus.A source in the school said that this action was due to the continual increment in tuition of the school.Tuition that was put at 80000 started increasing every semester for the past 3years and as at today,it is put at 102000 per semester. While speaking on phone to the students, the director of the school who was away in Ghana denied knowing about any increment and promised to look into the issue but the students have insisted that the examinations be suspended till monday when the director will be back in Nigeria.Foreign links campus moro is a sattelite campus of the Ghana based institution,Deltas university college. As a concerned advocate of good education,i wish to laud the efforts of the frontiers in this protest and to say that, the future of our dear nation lies in the hands of the youths, iti high time we rise and challenge the abnormalities going on in the education sector and other sectors of the economy. I am calling on the management of this school to please delve into the issue and profer solution.they should also give reasons why tuition was increased when standard of education received remains unchanged. Also they should give reasons why the management is not aware of such increment and sanction whoever is involved in this act. To the students i say ALUTA CONTINUA
