PROCESSION OF WITNESS PROGRAMME, SAT. 19 APRIL @10AM 1. ASSEMBLY POINT 1.1. Participants will gather from 9.30am onwards; 1.2. The religious leaders will line up on Keisergracht, District Six, Cape Town. Just below the Technicon in the vicinity of St Marks. The other landmark is the Muir Street Mosque; 2.PROCEEDINGS 2.2. Archbishop Thabo will call for a moment of silence; 2.2. An Opening Prayer; 2.3. Prayers by 3 persons from the Interfaith Community; 2.4. Archbishop Emeritus, Desmond Tutu will bless the Procession; 3. ROUTE: Down in to Darling; left into Buitenkant Street; right into Roeland and end up in Plein Street in front of Parliament. 4. AT PARLIAMENT 4.1.Three speakers from other faith traditions to say a few words; 4.2. Archbishop Thabo Makgoba addresses the gathering; 4.3. Archbishop Emeritus, Njongo Ndungane, will give the final blessing.
