PROCRASTINATION....The art of putting off those things that need to be done! Have you ever put off paying a bill, with every intention of paying it and you found the more you put it off, the more you forgot to pay it? Now, you have to suffer the consequences for not paying that bill! Or...maybe you just kept putting off getting the car fixed, now...you find the car needs major work or it doesnt run at all now! I spoke to a person a few years ago, who told me the Lord told him to minister to one of his co-workers. This person didnt want to do because of the lifestyle and attitude of the co-worker. He said everyday, Holy Spirit was prompting him to tell this person about Jesus. This went on for several weeks. One day, this person made up his mind, When I get to work tomorrow, I am going to tell my co-worker about Jesus. He went to work the next day and noticed the co-worker didnt come to work. His manager pulled all the workers together that day and told them their co-worker died in a car accident last night. You know...we never know why the Lord is prompting us to do things. The bottom-line is...procrastination is a thief of time! Once it robs us of our time, it may be too late to take it back and it may cause us to suffer extreme consequences! Procrastination will hinder us on our Christian journey! Lord, forgive me for the many times I procrastinated and put off things You wanted me to do until they seem convenient for me! Help me Lord, to be obedient to the prompting and leading of Holy Spirit and give me the courage to move when Holy Spirit is directing me to do something, in Jesus Name
