PRODUCT ENGINEER Chemineer Incorporated, a National Oilwell Varco company, has an immediate need for a highly professional Product Engineer at our Dayton, Ohio location. The successful candidate will be responsible for designing safe, cost-effective, & customer-focused industrial mixing equipment in a 3D environment with an emphasis on quality and on time delivery. The candidate must have the capacity to work closely with sales, marketing, & field support professionals to analyze and design products that will meet or exceed customer expectations while satisfying budgetary restrictions. In addition, works closely with Manufacturing Engineering to ensure that designs are both producible and robust. The ideal candidate must have the ability to: • Apply technical knowledge to innovate, design, and develop customized, customer-centric designs. • Reduce cost of product, and increased production throughput through new design simplification and existing product redesign. • Support aftermarket product modification & upgrade programs through quick & accurate engineering analyses (FEA, hand calculations, etc.) • Perform data analysis and present findings to internal engineering, customers and appropriate levels of management. • Ensure design documentation is accurate, and kept up-to-date, while driving design standardization across all product lines. • Mentor team members in mechanical design methodologies by utilizing sound communication, teamwork and leadership skills. • Assess design form, fit, and function improvement opportunities and develop a prioritized project queue. • Function effectively and meet deadlines with minimal supervision We are searching for a candidate who has a BSME with three (3) years of rotating equipment design experience, a working knowledge of GD&T (ANSI Y14.5) with ability to read and interpret documents (drawings, specifications, procedure manuals, etc.), a strong working knowledge of Finite Element Analysis (FEA) and supportive hand calculations, technical aptitude and familiarity with machining & assembly manufacturing processes, and proficient in Microsoft Office and solid modeling CAD software (preferably Solid Works®). Familiarity with electronic Product Data Management software (preferably Windchill®) a plus! Competitive salary and benefit package.
