PRODUCT UPDATES Cooler: Sparksman Cream Valley butter arrived spoiled, so we do not have it on the shelf as planned. Those discontinued due to poor/slow shelf sales can still be special ordered by the case in the white member order book. Those items discontinued by the distributor (noted at the bottom of the list) cannot be special ordered. ON SALE: Personal Care: There are some personal care items on the mark down shelves. Sales: Crystal Deodorant twist up stick 25% off, Weleda sage deodorant 15% off, Kiss My Face bar soap Olive & Aloe 20% off UNFI: The next order delivery is Thursday, October 9th. The following order deadline will be Tuesday, October 14th, delivered Thursday, October 23rd. PRODUCE: The next delivery will be Wednesday, October 29th, available Thursday, October 30th. Email or call Susan Staal with special orders (her contact info is below). We have an additional local produce supplier, Eastatoee Community Farm from Sunset, S.C. We are expecting greens and more later in the season. BREAD: There will be no Samis Bread order this week . DIMPFLMEIER RYE: We will have a shipment available on Thursday, Oct 9th - there will be a variety of Rye breads available. The next approximate order date will be November 26th, for a December 4th delivery or if we need to wait December 10th for a December 19th delivery. It is double wrapped and inner sealed so keeps well for a long time in the freezer. If we do not meet our minimum of 40 loaves then the order will be pushed forward 2 more weeks. TO ORDER Dimpflmeier Bread: Place in Black Notebooks on Counter under D for Dimpflmeier. The order sheets are in there. You can also email to order at secretary2@upstatefoodcoop . Available at a reduced rate is the sampler box which is a variety of 10, 1 pound loaves. FRONTIER: The order deadline is Wednesday, October 15th and available Friday, October 24th. The following deadline will be Wednesday, October 29th and available Thursday, November 6th. HAPPY COW: . When placing orders you must place your order before Monday. Happy Cow is selling local, conventional (not organic) Golden Delicious and Rome apples for $20.50 a bushel as supply lasts, may be ordered in D.O. book under Happy Cow. You can call in your order and leave a message. Messages are checked early Monday morning before the order goes in. We received our order of local milk and have a good supply. GLUTEN FREE: Check the discounted rack for Gluten Free products. Please provide GF product suggestions for what you would like to see on the shelf to Lynn Burkett at [email protected]. Always looking for good suggestions for new gluten free products. EGGS: We have eggs available for purchase. The production is now increasing.
