PROF.ITA EWA:ANOTHER CRASHED AMBITION? Prior to his appointment as a minister of the Federal Republic of Nigeria,the man,Prof.Ita Ewa,was not known in the state nor had anything to with the politics of the state.He had no relationship nor affinity with the political class nor any other group of people in the state.In fact,when his appointment was announced 99% per cent of people in the state were confused whether he is an Akwa Ibomite or a Cross Riverian. But no sooner had he settled down in office than some some political contractors swooped on him and sold a governorship ambition to him and he bought it and began to see his ministerial office as a campaign structure.He was touted as the anointed candidate of the president.They would tell you that he is one of the ministers the president is interested in making governors of their respective states and that the state governor,Chief Akpabio,had since been instructed to work for him. While he reserves the right to vie for any political office in the land,some of us doubted his clout,politically and economically,to run the race and we refused to be swayed by his 'Aso Rock adoption' propaganda and those that were so gullible to swayed by such propaganda will now know better. Now that he is no longer a member of the federal cabinet,will he continue in the race?.Does he posses what it takes to run the race successfully?.Could this be another crashed ambition By Iniobong
