PROFESSOR JOHANA SUSANA JEMBSIE PhD (Linguistics) 2007 Susana is an influential figure in Papuan education. Based at the University of Cenderawasih in Jayapura, Papua, she is a Professor in the Faculty of Teacher Training and Education; Head of the English Language Centre; and Vice Chairman of the Papua Research Institute. In 2012 Susana became the first female Papuan to be inaugurated as a professor. In 2013 she was named by the Australian Ambassador to Indonesia as one of the highest achieving Australian Development Scholarship Alumni.
