Nautilus Minerals has been granted the Mining Lease and Environment Permit for a high grade copper-gold deposit known as Solwara 1, located in 1600 meters water depth in the territorial waters of Papua New Guinea. We are looking for highly motivated individuals with passion and drive as we move forward to bring the Solwara 1 Project into production. This important position will ensure Nautilus Minerals meets its environmental and social commitments and complies with all regulatory requirements for the Solwara 1 Project located in Papua New Guinea. To ensure the Nautilus Minerals environmental program continues to be world class and that the Solwara 1 Project continues to be developed in an environmentally and socially responsible manner, the successful applicant will maintain Nautilus’ multi-stakeholder engagement approach, liaising with both international and Papua New Guinean stakeholders. Skills, Experience and Personal Competencies: • Proven expertise in permit management and environmental approval processes; • Experience developing work programs required to ensure compliance with regulations; • Proven project and contractor management skills; • An ability to cost effectively ensure compliance with permit conditions and commitments; • A strong background developing Environmental Impact Assessments and Environmental Management Plans and Monitoring Programs within the mining industry; • Experience working in Papua New Guinea (desirable); • Tertiary qualification in a relevant field (post graduate qualifications desirable); and • 5+ years relevant experience working in Environmental management.
