PROLAPSED RECTUM! FOSTER HOMES AND RESCUE NEEDED! Last night we were informed about a pit-bull puppy here in Long Beach with anal issues. Its been going on for a few days and last night we sent the owner to the emergency vet. Little Angel is only 6 months old but has NEVER seen a vet in his short life. His owners were unable to afford vet care. Angel and his brothers and sisters were not planned or bred on purpose. But it happened because mom and dad were not fixed. And we see that on a daily basis! Thus the reason we offer FREE spay/neuter! Angel has 4 brothers and sisters. One of them also had a prolapsed rectum and the owners already took the puppy to the Carson shelter. We talked to them last night and they were immediately willing to sign the dog over to us. They are also willing to surrender the remaining puppies to us AND will have mom and dad fixed to avoid additional litters. Like many other people, they had no idea about the overpopulation. The young man we talked to is the sole provider of the family and takes care of his mother and 2 siblings. So before anyone judges or makes uncalled comments, lets focus on helping and educating them. BECAUSE they will in turn educate their family members, friends and neighbors and THAT is the way to go. Angel already has a foster :). And believe it or not, it is the same person that pulled Angels brother from the shelter! What a small world! Thank you Ana Jimenez! If anyone can help us, please make a donation towards Angels vet bill. $593.37 without boarding fee, and we will also have to vet the remaining puppies.
