PROMOTION IS COMING! James 1:12 “God blesses those who patiently endure testing and temptation. Afterward they will receive the crown of life that God has promised to those who love him.” How do we know that promotion is coming? Temptation and challenges are the informers. When your trial is getting hotter, you are getting closer to the breakthrough. Temptation and challenges are those foolish things that can cause you to lose focus, that cause pressure and tension. That you are a Christian does not mean that you will not encounter challenges and temptations. When they come, run to God, don’t run from Him. Keep your focus! If you are with Him in truth and faith, He has promised that He will not allow your challenges beyond what you are able (1 Corinthians 10:13). When you know where you are going - the promised land, the destination, the throne, whatever happens to you midway – whether sickness or tribulation cannot change your focus. When Joseph received the revelation that he would get to the throne, he kept His focus even in the midst of the dry pit, Potiphar’s house and in the prison because he knew where he was going (Genesis 37 – 45). The road to the throne, the destination, the promised land is not a bed of roses. When temptation and challenges come as a Christian run to God by praying the more, fasting the more and believing God the more because on the other side of that situation lies your breakthrough. Promotion is coming! Prayer: Jesus, begin to show me the picture of your future plan for me. Lord, show me those seeds of tomorrow that I need to grow.
