PROOF NO 30--FINGERPRINTS ARE UNIQUE Does man think that We cannot assemble his bones? Nay, We are able to put together in perfect order the very tips of his FINGERS(QURAN 75:3-4) The above verse refers to the day of resurrection.When you die you body will decay(except the prophets and a few chosen individuals) and on the day of resurrection,your creator will bring you back to life.From the lowest end of the spine ie.the coccyx,your bones will be reassembled and your body will be brought back to life (according to the hadith). You will now be held accountable for your actions in your first life. The above verse explains that even your fingerprints would be the same after resurrection as it was during your life on earth.So why would the fingerprints be mentioned?There are only 2 reasons 1-It is an intricate and complex structure and Allah SWT is saying that even with all its detail,it will be replicated. 2-It is unique to every individual and just as you had unique characteristics in this life,you will have it during the afterlife. The first point doesnt have any merit since if Allah SWT wanted to mention a complicated structure, He would have mentioned the eye or the ear,which allows us to conclude that the mention of fingerprints in the above verse indicates that it is referring to the fact that they are unique to everyone. The discovery that fingerprints are unique is usually accredited to Dr Henry Faulds in the 1870s and Sir Francis Galton in 1880s
