PROSPERITY BELONGS TO GOD’S CHILDREN’S “YOU ARE DESTINED TO PROSPER” Scripture: 3 John 1:2 (AMP) “2 Beloved, I pray that you may prosper in every way and [that your body] may keep well, even as [I know] your soul keeps well and prospers.” Introduction: -Prosperity means: the state of being prosperous. a long period of prosperity Synonyms: success, profitability, affluence, wealth, abundance, luxury, the good life, milk and honey, (good) fortune, ease, plenty, comfort, security, well-being she deserves all the prosperity she now enjoys -BIBLICAL DEFINITION OF PROSPERITY • You can start enjoying biblical prosperity now if you’re a child of God. • The blessing of prosperity is subjected to some conditions of course. God doesn’t spoil His children, but you can really start enjoying success and abundance quickly if you understand God’s conditions and submit to them. • What is the biblical definition of prosperity? It is important to first understand what biblical prosperity is about, so you can tell when you don’t have it and fix the problem, or give thanks when you realize you have received favors from God. A. IF A PERSON WANTS TO PROSPER HE MUST AVOID NEGATIVITY IN HIS BELIEF WINDOWS SYSTEM 1. Our belief windows have enormous power, because they contain all of the principles we embrace. -Our principles form the foundation of who we are. -They are held at the very core of our being. -We must understand that our principles govern our decisions is one of the most dynamic concepts in quickening you to prosper. -Our outlook on the world around us is determined by our belief windows. -We filter life and process information through the principles we begin forming from birth. Kong ang naririnig mo mula pagkabata hanggang paglaki mo ay mga negatibo ito ang nagiging dahilan kaya negatibo ang iyong ginagawa. 2. Insecurities caused by false principles in your belief windows produce fear – and fear paralyzes you to prosper. -The things we believe control our lives: -Proverbs 23:7 (AMP) “7 For as he thinks in his heart, so is he…” -Luke 6:45 (AMP) “45 The upright (honorable, intrinsically good) man out of the good treasure [stored] in his heart produces what is upright (honorable and intrinsically good), and the evil man out of the evil storehouse brings forth that which is depraved (wicked and intrinsically evil); for out of the abundance (overflow) of the heart his mouth speaks.” -The things we must avoid are the following: -2 Timothy 2:16-18 (AMP) “16 But avoid all empty (vain, useless, idle) talk, for it will lead people into more and more ungodliness.” -Titus 3:1-9 (AMP) “9 But avoid stupid and foolish controversies and genealogies and dissensions and wrangling about the Law, for they are unprofitable and futile. Examples: -You must avoid negative thoughts, words & buddies -If you believe you are a victim then you will become victim not victors -If you believe you will not prosper then you will not prosper -Kong iniisip mong di mo kaya di mo nga kaya -Kong iniisip mong ikaw ay failure aba eh di failure ka nga -Avoid critical people -Avoid lazy people -Avoid coward[chicken, quitter, weakling, scared & run-away] people. If GOD called you to LEAD then LEAD. Don’t be like SAUL, imitate the determination of DAVID. -Avoid these negative upbringing 0% I WON’T “Pain is temporary quitting last forever” -Avoid these negative upbringing 10% I CAN’T “Do one thing everyday that scares you.” Eleanor Roosevelt -Avoid these negative upbringing 20% I KNOW HOW “Imagination is more important than knowledge.” Albert Einstein -Avoid these negative upbringing 30% I WISH COULD “Be a world changer… -Avoid these negative upbringing 40% I WANT TO “We are what we pretend to be.” Kurt Vonnegut -Avoid these negative upbringing 50% I THINK I MIGHT “Risks must be taken because the greatest hazard in life is to risk nothing.” Leo Buscaglia 3. Every choice we make is controlled and processed through our belief windows. -Proverbs 18:21 (AMP) “21 Death and life are in the power of the tongue, and they who indulge in it shall eat the fruit of it [for death or life].” B. IF A PERSON WANTS TO PROSPER HE MUST DEVELOP PROSPERITY MINDSET IN HIS BELIEF WINDOWS SYSTEM 1. Use the bible, books about prosperity; use that information to develop your mindset of prosperity. -Prosperity starts with you and your MINDSET. -Your mind is your most powerful tool, and your prosperity depends on how you focus on this power. 2. Focus on what you want – what you really want - and be that person right NOW. 3. To have prosperity, mindset is confidence in yourself and your business. Mindset is positive and passion for what you’re doing. 4. What You Do Right Now Is the Most Important Thing in the World -Every single action you take toward your ultimate prosperity goal is important, but unless you make each step the most important thing in the world, youll never get the results youre capable of getting. -Keep intensely focused and moving forward. 5. Be the Best You Possible -Strive to be the best version of you that you possibly can—regardless of your genetic limitations. We all have natural weaknesses. We all have natural strengths. However, were not powerless against our genetics. We can choose to work with our weaknesses and capitalize on our strengths. 6. Learn, Share and Learn Some More -To teach is to learn twice. Openly sharing your prosperity experience and knowledge with others is one of the most effective ways to take your own efforts to the next level. -You get a better understanding of and perspective on what youre doing when you break it down to someone else. -Walk your talk. Theres no need to force what you believe onto others. If people respect what you do, theyll seek out your advice. And make sure you have the other persons best interest in mind. Helping others isnt about you and your ego. This is the biggest purpose in life. 7. Let Yourself Be Motivated by Others -When you see people who have better life than yours, admire them. Use what theyve accomplished as a source of inspiration. Wag kang mainggit. Magsikap ka para marating mo rin ang mga bagay na gusto mo. 8. Associate with People at Your Level or Higher and with the same mission -Make sure the people you spend your time with are at least as determined, optimistic, and driven as you are to reach their definition of prosperity. -People who are at your level or above think the way you need to think and actually do the things that you must do in order to prosper. -It is undeniable that people who are certain about who they are and what they are about will control the environment of the people theyre with. -Make things easier on yourself and only associate with people at your level or higher. 9. If You Think It, You Must Do It! -Make the commitment to stop questioning that part of you that knows who you are and what you are capable of doing. -Step up. Man up. Trust God. Do what the real winner inside of you instructs you to do. When you are about to begin a set and your first thought is to prosper—then do it! Dont talk yourself out of it. 10. Potential Is Meaningless Until Actualized -Dont waste your time asking anyone what your potential is to build a great physique. In life, you either do it or you dont. You dont need anyone elses approval or validation to go for what you want. -Billionaire businessman Mark Cuban has a saying: Never seek advice from someone who doesnt have anything to lose. No one cares about your prosperity more than you. No one has more to lose if you fail than you. Take charge of your destiny and dont let anyone derail your future. C. IF A PERSON WANTS TO PROSPER HE MUST UNDERSTAND BIBLICAL PROSPERITY PRINCIPLES IN EVERY AREA OF HIS WINDOWS BELIEF SYSTEM -Peter & JESUS: Jesus say to Peter let’s go to the deep. Jesus wanted Peter to be his partner. -Let the government of JESUS rule in your Family -Let the government of JESUS rule in your Ministry -Let the government of JESUS rule in your Business -Every affair in our lives must bring glory, honor, adoration and thanksgiving to our most high Living GOD -Matthew 5:16 (AMP) “16 Let your light so shine before men that they may see your [a]moral excellence and your praiseworthy, noble, and good deeds and [b]recognize and honor and praise and glorify your Father Who is in heaven.” 1. PROSPERITY GLORIFIES GOD -Genesis 1:28 (AMP) “28 And God blessed them and said to them, Be fruitful, multiply, and fill the earth, and subdue it [using all its vast resources in the service of God and man]; and have dominion over the fish of the sea, the birds of the air, and over every living creature that moves upon the earth.” -We are created for God’s glory (Isaiah 43:7 “7 Even everyone who is called by My name, whom I have created for My glory, whom I have formed, whom I have made.”). But after sin entered the picture, we all have sinned and fallen short of the glory of God (Romans 3:23). -Jesus came and died for our sin, so that when we became born again by putting our faith in Jesus Christ we could obtain salvation. Salvation comes in manifold, and it includes restoration of our ability to glorify God: -What is the glory of God? His creativity, beauty, perfection, wisdom, power, knowledge, and every virtue that He displays by being Himself. He also displays His glory through His creation, and of all creations, human kind was the most special and precious because we were made in His image (Genesis 1:27 (AMP) “27 So God created man in His own image, in the image and likeness of God He created him; male and female He created them.”). -The package of restoration includes power, authority, abundance, and all kind of blessings that Jesus Christ has (Ephesians 1:3 (AMP) “3 May blessing (praise, laudation, and eulogy) be to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ (the Messiah) Who has blessed us in Christ with every spiritual (given by the Holy Spirit) blessing in the heavenly realm!).” -We are to go out and show people how blessed we are, not walking around poor and defeated while praising God for being poor and defeated. 2. Prosperity is a blessed state of having the resource and ability to accomplish God’s will -2 Corinthians 9:8 “8 And God is able to make all grace abound toward you; that ye, always having all sufficiency in all things, may abound to every good work:” -Philippians 4:12-13,19 “12 I know both how to be abased, and I know how to abound: everywhere and in all things I am instructed both to be full and to be hungry, both to abound and to suffer need. 13 I can do all things through Christ which strengtheneth me. 19 But my God shall supply all your need according to his riches in glory by Christ Jesus.” -True prosperity is not hoarding. Hoarding is in fact a sign of poverty. -“Earn as much as you can. Save as much as you can. Invest as much as you can. Give as much as you can.” 3. True prosperity is a blessed state of always having something to give to those who are in need. Again, it is a supernatural process. Give and you will be given more. (Luke 6:38) 4. Worldly prosperity may serve you in this life, but it ultimately leads you to Hell in the afterlife. -Psalm 49:16-20 “16 Do not be overawed when a man grows rich, when the splendor of his house increases; 17 for he will take nothing with him when he dies, his splendor will not descend with him. 18 Though while he lived he counted himself blessed—and men praise you when you prosper-19 he will join the generation of his fathers, who will never see the light of life. 20 A man who has riches without understanding is like the beasts that perish. -Many rich and successful people hold seminars and write books on how to be as rich and successful as them. People celebrate and praise them for their wealth and fame and are willing to spend a lot of time and money to be their students. -So did I. I thought they must have something good to learn from if they can become so successful in the world. After spending months wandering in their world of self-help/success/money gurus and expert, I realized I was so distracted by their teachings that I couldn’t focus on what God is trying to tell me. -Gradually, I also realized that the prosperity of the world and prosperity of God were entirely different and they could not be mixed together. (Matthew 9:16-17) -But if you build your career based on daily provision from God, not only will you experience wild success beyond imagination, but what you accomplish will last forever. -Those that spend every workday doing their own things will not be able to discern God’s will and obey Him properly. -Prosperity in itself is a good thing, but are you trying to build your own prosperity and use it the way you deem right? Or are you looking upon God for daily provision and give your wealth to whoever God directs you to give it to? -Prosperity from the spiritual world: Law of Attraction, the Secret, Visualization, Meditation, and other mysterious practice. -Matthew 4:8-10 “8 Again, the devil took Him to a very high mountain and showed Him all the kingdoms of the world and their glory; 9 and he said to Him, “All these things I will give You, if You fall down and worship me.” 10 Then Jesus said to him, “Go, Satan! For it is written, ‘YOU SHALL WORSHIP THE LORD YOUR GOD, AND SERVE HIM ONLY.’”- 5. If we obey and follow God, all kinds of prosperity that are promised in the ENTIRE Bible will be ours. -2 Corinthians 1:20 (NKJV) “20 For all the promises of God in Him are Yes, and in Him Amen, to the glory of God through us.” -Proverbs 10:22 “22 The blessing of the LORD, it maketh rich, and he addeth no sorrow with it. Contrary to what religious people are saying, money doesn’t bring sorrow. But the love of money does. -1 Timothy 6:10 “10 For the love of money is a root of all evils; it is through this craving that some have been led astray and have wandered from the faith and pierced themselves through with many [a]acute [mental] pangs. -Deuteronomy 7:15 “15 And the LORD will take away from thee all sickness God means “all”. There is no exception. God takes away ALL sickness.” -Proverbs 3:7-8 “7 Be not wise in thine own eyes: fear the LORD, and depart from evil. 8 It shall be health to thy navel, and marrow to thy bones.” -So, be healthy. -Now that we know God says we are supposed to be healthy and prosperous, so how are we going to act on this information? 6. You can have biblical prosperity now -Ephesians 1:3 “3Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who hath blessed us with all spiritual blessings in heavenly places in Christ:” -All blessings. Every blessing you can name in the ENTIRE Bible is ours in Christ. The blessings that were written in the Old Testament and the New Testament are both relevant for us today. -Galatians 3:14 “14 That the blessing of Abraham might come on the Gentiles through Jesus Christ; that we might receive the promise of the Spirit through faith.” -We have the blessing of Abraham. We are now the spiritual descendants of Abraham through Jesus Christ (Galatians 3:6-9), so we are entitled to every blessing that Abraham and His children have. -Genesis 12:2-3 (AMP) “2 And I will make of you a great nation, and I will bless you [with abundant increase of favors] and make your name famous and distinguished, and you will be a blessing [dispensing good to others]. 3 And I will bless those who bless you [who confer prosperity or happiness upon you] and [a]curse him who curses or uses insolent language toward you; in you will all the families and kindred of the earth be blessed [and by you they will bless themselves].” D. IF A PERSON WANTS TO PROSPER HE MUST DEVELOP POSITIVE AFFIRMATION, DECLARATION AND CONFESSION IN HIS WINDOWS BELIEF SYSTEM -Romans 4:17 (KJ21) “17 (as it is written: “I have made thee a father of many nations”), in the presence of Him whom he believed, even God, who quickeneth the dead and calleth those things which are not, as though they were.” -Romans 4:17 AMP “17 As it is written, I have made you the father of many nations. [He was appointed our father] in the sight of God in Whom he believed, Who gives life to the dead and speaks of the nonexistent things that [He has foretold and promised] as if they [already] existed.” -Psalm 107:2 (AMP) “2 Let the redeemed of the Lord say so, whom He has delivered from the hand of the adversary,” 1. Develop Positive Attitude • 60% I MIGHT “Stay hungry, stay foolish.” Steve Job • 70% I THINK I CAN “It’s hard to beat a person who never gives up.” Babe Ruth • 80% I CAN “I can is 100 times more important than IQ” • 90% I AM “Your life is an occasion. Rise to it.” Suzanne Weyn • 100% I DID “Genius is 1% inspiration & 99% perspiration.” Thomas Edison 2. Develop Biblical/Positive AFFIRMATION, DECLARATION and CONFESSION Examples: BIBLICAL/POSITIVE AFFIRMATION, DECLARATION and CONFESSION 1. I will speak favor and victory over my family, friends, and loved ones 19. I will store up blessings for future generations 20. I will experience Gods faithfulness 21. I will speak only positive words of faith and victory over myself, my family, and my future 24. I will not worry. I will not doubt. I will keep my trust in Him, knowing that He will not fail me. I will give birth to every promise God put in my heart and I will become everything God created me to be. 25. 2014 is my year. I am the REDEEMED of the LORD and I SAY SO today. Conclusion: -If you declare, confess God’s Word you are giving JESUS the power to manifest prosperity, abundance over your life and also all his Promises. -Hebrews 3:1 KJV “Wherefore, holy brethren, partakers of the heavenly calling, consider THE APOSTLE and HIGH PRIEST OF OUR PROFESSION, CHRIST JESUS;” -Hebrews 3:1 ESV “Therefore, holy brothers, you who share in a heavenly calling, CONSIDER JESUS, THE APOSTLE AND HIGH PRIEST OF OUR CONFESSION,” DEVELOP YOUR OWN SYSTEM THAT WORKS FOR YOU...
