Yours truly, Signed in person & delivered at FortisBC Inc. office, Mary Smith located in Kelowna, BC, in the presence of a witness: Mary Smith ______November 30th, 2014_________ Name of Customer Service representative on duty: I M Jolly SAMPLE HERE IS THE LAST PART. THIS WAS SENT TO ME BY THE LADY ORGANIZING FOR OUR AREA: Hello Dear Friends and Neighbors, We have learned about a successful strategy that could be the answer for Fortis customers not wanting wireless meters. But people have to act quickly to protect their analog meters, because Fortis is starting installations this fall .The strategy Im sharing with you worked to protect a number of analog meters in Penticton BC. An individual and friends did all of the steps outlined below, three years ago. Recently I personally saw, on one of their houses, their original analog meter untouched by the power company. These people have not heard from the power company about it, and they have not been harassed either. For those of you who require a Smart Meter education, I’ve included these following links: Dr. Olle Johannson - Neuro scientist - Karolinska Institute - Health Effects of Electro Magenetic Fields. https://youtube/watch?v=I5udG8OCZWY Dr. Dietrich Klinghardt - Smart Meters& EMR - The Health Crisis of Our Time - https://youtube/watch?v=PktaaxPl7RI Even if you are among those who posted documents on your meter and sent a copy registered mail to Fortis you STILL NEED to add the steps outlined below. THE KEY is YOU MUST COMPLETE ALL THE STEPS. Heres what to do, and its all completely legal, the law is on our side for this procedure. 1. Your meter must be sealed with a locked ring or any apparatus that would have to be broken by Fortis/or Fortis contractor to be replaced by a wireless meter. Be creative and goodle for ideas or to purchase a ring. * (Whatever you do to seal your meter, remember that Fortis must still be able to read the meter.) The important point is to have the meter sealed. 2. Have a look at the sample of the “Legal notice to FortisBC ” letter attached to this email. Then open the “Legal notice to FortisBC ” document attached and personalize the one that you will be using. (a) Insert correct date. (b) Under the heading Attention: Electrical Department, on the next line add your Kelowna Fortis account number (its on your electricity bill.) (c) Then in the 3rd paragraph of the letter add the facts about your own meter: The current sealed meter located at this address is a (here you add the name of the company that made your analog meter.) The name is printed on the metal face plate. At the bottom of the meter there are 2 numbers. Bottom number: Add the serial number located on the same plate, usually at the bottom.) Top number: The Fortis # is usually on a metal insert plate above the company’s serial number. If youre in doubt about that number, do an internet search (Google images of analog meters to find your analog makers model.) (d) Sign the letter with your legal signature, and print your name below it in upper-case and lower-case letters as you see done in the sample letter. Mary Smith 3. Make a copy of this document for yourself. 4. HAND DELIVER this letter to the Electrical Department of Fortis. Take a witness with you, or go in as a respectful groups. Remember, the law is on our side. Ask at the front desk for the person who will accept this legal document for the electrical department. You may have to wait, or you may have to go find the person. You must record the name of the person, and as you give it to them you politely say, You have been served. Then quietly leave. Again, these steps are all completely legal. 5. Put a ring and lock on the meter or some apparatus that will prevent trespass. Google has some very creative and interesting ideas. 6. Fill in the No Tresspass sign with your address, name and date it. Then laminate or protect with plastic the” PRIVATE PROPERTY- NO TRESPASSING sign. Secure this laminated sign next to your locked meter, one for your front door and entrances to your property. IMPORTANT: Take a picture of you locked meter and your signs. Please send this out to all your groups of contacts and neighbors and encourage them to do the same. We are running out of time Okanagan, please take action now! It’s amazing what all of us together are going to accomplish. Watch for further urgent, important and valuable information on our website as we proceed through this together. The people united are powerful! Thanking you ahead, with love A very concerned Grandmother
