PROTESTING residents, at a refuse dump site, in Churchfield, - TopicsExpress

PROTESTING residents, at a refuse dump site, in Churchfield, appear totally justified, report Cork Daily Post on Facebook. As they complain of impact of smells, rats, late night noise, the Cork site, Bittle Hill, earmarked for the dump, remains unused and, is costing around €30,000 a week, just to fund loan interest and, ensure management, security of the site. The most recent comments suggested they are targeting to open it, FOUR years from now but, require legislative support to ensure all dump services are obliged to use it, to ensure economic aspect if it. That is something which could be done in a few days and, then Cork, would have a properly planned and, designed site, while protecting the local environment and, lifestyle of residents in the area.
