PROVIDENCE or COINCIDENCE? I have scarcely finished one project - TopicsExpress

PROVIDENCE or COINCIDENCE? I have scarcely finished one project and now I am already thinking of another. I have now for a few months done research and have written a radio series: Franz Schubert - die Musiek en die Mens which will start on RSG this Sunday at 10am. A few weeks ago I found Mendelssohns letters at the Cafda Bookshop in Claremont and already got the idea of some more research about a composer. Yesterday on my way to drop a DVD at DVD Nouveau I went into Clarkes Bookshop in Long Street for a quick browse. And there it was waiting for me: Clive Browns much acclaimed biographical study on Felix Mendelssohn. Then I immediately thought of the thousands of rands I will have to spend again on research material when I saw that the Brilliant Classics company has published A Mendelssohn Portrait - a set of 40 CDs which would cost me an arm and a leg to order. This morning I took the Myciti bus into town to give back a few CDs at the City Central Library - and couldnt believe my eyes: There was this exact collection 40 CDs as if waiting for me. The librarian told me that it was brand new and put on the shelf half an hour before my arrival. If that wasnt Providence - what is? So here I go again ...
