PROVINCE: SABC LIMPOPO DIVISION: MUNGHANA LONENE FM POSITION: DIGITAL SPECIALIST SCALE CODE: 401 REPORTS TO: MARKETING MANAGER: ML FM CLOSING DATE: 25 JANUARY 2015 • Manage, maintain, modify the station’s website according to campaign strategies. • Implement the image and positioning of the brand electronically. • Input in formulating the online media strategy. • Assist in online media buying and negotiation. • Work in conjunction with Programming to achieve programming objectives. • Provide detailed Campaign Reporting. • Maintain the highest data integrity on both the station website as well as the internal SABC intranet website. • Communicate with internal IT Services in regards to updating station related information on the intranet as well on the SABC website. • Stay abreast of industry trends and all applicable technologies, security issues, authoring tools, graphic design tools and new languages. • Integrate new technologies onto the station website. • Management of multiple and diverse projects on website in line with Station and portfolio’s strategy for new media. • Development and implementing of web, wap, cellular and other electronic content and functionality to meet identified business needs. • Conduct research, develop and introduce new programmes when applicable to station strategy • Acquiring and utilizing the necessary resources and skills within agreed parameters of cost, timescales and quality. • Co-ordinate the station’s portfolio of online projects on a day to day basis • Develop and maintain the appropriate environment to support the Marketing and Programming Manager in goals and objectives of overall strategy. • Ensure coherence of Web content by monitoring changes in the world of commerce and reassess whether these changes do influence the business objectives of station • Ensure maximum delivery and performance with stakeholders through efficient Service Level Agreement management. • Respond to queries about the stations’ digital platforms • Translate business goals and objectives into actionable and measureable digital marketing programs • Create and monitor social media campaigns to drive traffic to the website. • Produce and upload content (articles / images / podcasts / videos) for website and social media platforms • Manage and promote conversation and engagement on all digital channels • Provide Marketing with insight into listeners online website patterns and behavior • Promote and encourage cross-platform programming Minimum Requirements • Matric / Grade 12 • Appropriate IT, HTML tertiary qualification • 3 years web experience, 1 year experience in sound recording and editing. • An appropriate business qualification will be advantageous • Broadcasting Experience will be added advantage • Readily absorbs new technical information and keep up to date in specialist areas • Computer literacy and knowledge of HTML • Excellent communication skills (written and verbal) • Report writing skills • Must be tech savvy and keeps up to date with new and exciting social media platforms. • Be able understands how to converse with the youth in a language that appeals to the youth • The person will be required to spend a considerable amount on radio station’s social media platforms to engage in constant conversation and show promotions • Good command of Xitsonga language Interested applicants must forward their applications with a concise CV to: Human Resources Department: SABC Limpopo Attention Portia Mabilane: e-mail: [email protected] Fax: (015) 290-0179 Preference will be given, but not limited to, candidates from designated groups in terms of the Employment Equity Act and the SABC’s Employment Equity initiatives.
