PRUNES: There are so many great reasons to be adding prunes into our diets & as an alternative sweetener (& not just to get our digestion flowing a whole lot smoother)! Try replacing dates with prunes. Prunes have a lower sugar content (by almost half), theyre high in fibre, loaded with antioxidants (to help scavenge free radicals), Vitamin K for healthy bones, Potassium for healthy nerves and muscles and more. Just make sure to buy them preservative free. I tried this recipe today, Prune & Pistachio Chocolate Truffles. They are... decadently good & use just 3 ingredients. Pistachios, Cacao & Prunes!
