PS4RS 2015 ENDORSEMENT ANNOUNCEMENT: Effective today, Penn Staters for Responsible Stewardship unequivocally endorses Anthony Lubrano and Ryan McCombie in the 2015 Penn State trustee election, thanks to their exemplary contributions over the past three years. Adam Taliaferros contributions are also greatly appreciated, but he has decided not to run for reelection due to other commitments. Therefore, PS4RS will add just one candidate to complete our 2015 slate. This year it is more important and more urgent than ever to select a candidate who most effectively complements the strengths of our remaining elected eight trustees (the “E-8”). Therefore the PS4RS board will, with the advice of the E-8, select one additional candidate for endorsement in 2015. If you are interested in seeking the PS4RS endorsement, please compose a compelling letter of intent indicating your credentials and how you intend to support the E-8 as a Penn State trustee. Please email your letter of intent to [email protected] by Monday, January 26, 5:00pm EST. The PS4RS board and the E-8 will review the letters, and PS4RS will announce our endorsement no later than Friday, January 30. At that time, we will ask our members to submit their nomination ballots, taking the PS4RS slate into consideration. The university deadline for submitting these trustee nomination ballots is February 25, 2015. We are proud of our achievements over the past three years. However, there is still so much that we must accomplish as we pursue our mission of fundamentally reforming governance to ensure that all trustees place the interests of Penn State above all else. Therefore, we must focus all of our financial resources and energy into providing immediate support for the 2015 PS4RS slate. By doing this, we will be able to quickly activate a campaign strategy that will spread the PS4RS message and provide Penn Staters with ample opportunities to meet our endorsed candidates. We truly appreciate your loyalty and involvement over the last three years and hope that we can count on your support in what will likely be another grueling election campaign. For the Glory!
