PSA: Im just going to put this out there because Im getting lots - TopicsExpress

PSA: Im just going to put this out there because Im getting lots of questions/comments/messages, etc from people who are wanting to start with #clothdiapers but are overwhelmed by the wash routine and the crazy amount of information on the interwebs. Everyone uses different diapers, their babies urine will have different acidity levels based on diet and other factors, every family has a different washing machine and different levels of water hardness/softness. For anyone to give ONE blanket way to clean cloth diapers is completely ridiculous. Its just not possible. When I started with cloth, there were no FB groups. I just tried a few detergents and found what worked for me. If I had any issues with stink or what not (which was RARE), Id address them as they came up with people I knew and trusted such as friends using cloth, a local cloth diaper retailer, or directly with the manufacturers of the diapers. I try to steer clear of giving wash routine rec for this reason, and if I do mention anything, Ill give a disclaimer such as this (and this is all true): Ive been using Mollys Suds on my cloth diapers and my clothes for 2 days now and Im loving it. I have really hard So Cal water, a non-HE top loader, and we wash full loads of diapers every 2 days. Im only throwing my 2 cents in here because I would hate for a mama to give up on the idea of cloth just because shes overwhelmed or confused by all the conflicting information out there. So, in hashtag summary: #TrialandErrorisyourFriend, #UseWHATEVERworksforYOU, #DontBelieveEverythingYouReadonFB, and finally #CarryOnMama #YoureDoingAnAwesomeJob!!
