PSA: Neither are my homelessness, the domestic violence that preceded it nor the disability that afforded Royce are jokes. I dont owe anyone an explanation of how and why I got here and I certainly dont care about your permission to defy your logic, sentiments and sense of security while still holding down an international organization involved with stakeholders that make policies that affect YOU, maintaining Journalist credentials, engaged community organizing, undertaking a graduate degree with a near perfect average, being a good friend and looking awesome regardless of a budget that would make a lot of you turn to crime. Voicing accommodations is not the same as bemoaning a condition. Using accommodations is not the same as enacting privilege. If you think people like me inconvenience you, good. Disruption is the first step to dismantling ignorance and my inconvenience to your handle on life is your notice to step your game up. You have been served. To those that are awesome with understanding, patience, kindness, love, respect and genuineness, I appreciate you. I have only one request: teach the others, cause I sure am tired of shielding, fending off, teaching and observing the personal violence that seeps into the lives of the identities I straddle. Never give up. Just take massive breaks.
