PSA: Today is going to be another discussion day. The topic is one that spikes a range of reactions,but it is an important one. I have mentioned before that I am a regret mother-I circumcised my sons due to the misconceptions our culture loudly portrays about the male genitals. I have since educated myself,and learned how unnecessary,painful,and cruel this cultural ritual is. I understand that some folks are uncomfortable,even angry hearing about the myths and lies. I ALSO(and more importantly) realize that there are women,possibly on the fence about cutting their sons. There are women who dont want to harm their baby,but their husband or other family members are still convinced that forced genital cutting is right. I speak for those mothers. I share for fellow regret mothers. I educate to save babies and end the practice of forced genital cutting/aka unnecessary infant circumcision. So,I will be posting about the myths,the history,open discussions.....and hopefully save some babies
