PSALM 9:10 THOSE WHO KNOW YOUR NAME TRUST IN YOU, FOR YOU, LORD, HAVE NEVER FORSAKEN THOSE WHO SEEK YOU. Dear Brothers and Sisters in Lord Jesus Christ; “Trusting” is an active decision which refuses to trust everything else, and commit ourselves to the mercy and grace which Lord Jesus Christ longs to give us. Sovereign Gods priority for every human being is to put their trust in Lord Jesus Christ as the Son of God, sent by our Heavenly Father to be the Saviour of the world. Paradoxically, all the work is done by Sovereign God. And there is nothing we can do to earn our salvation. But in order to receive Lord God Almightys approval and invite Lord Jesus Christs intervention in our lives, there is something we have to do. We have to repent of our pride and arrogant self-righteousness, choosing to refuse to trust our own strength, wealth or even family connections. So, in some ways, a religious mentality can be the enemy of faith. Religion can makes us think that we have the ability to earn our way into Sovereign Gods presence, proving our righteousness and demonstrating our own power to be good. All that is an illusion: for Lord Jesus Christ said in John 14:6 that we cannot come to the Heavenly Father unless we come through Him. My beloved, Lord God Almighty has already provided, through Lord Jesus Christ, the way to come to Him and be saved. Many times we have followed the ways of the world and surrounded ourselves with people and things; and yet had not been regularly listening to Lord Jesus Christ or telling Him what is in our hearts. So my beloved, let’s ask His forgiveness and pray; His Holy Spirit will help us to put our trust in Lord Jesus Christ with everything, so that each challenge in life will be our opportunity to learn to trust Lord Jesus Christ with everything. It is worth spending time to consider the people, things and circumstances which we are relying on, and then choosing to make Lord Jesus Christ, Lord of all. Have a Pleasant day in Lord Jesus Christ.
