PSALMS 37 I wish I were less prone to ire But in my heart there burns a fire That simply will not tolerate The kind who what is righteous hate Psalms 37 says don’t fret Don’t worry and have no regret Concerning those who evil love Whom before long God will remove The streets of Paradise will be From their corruption wholly free Its perfection they will not ruin As they will vanish very soon They will not even pass its gate Or be allowed to contemplate The beauty they will not have earned The holiness for which we’ve yearned They will then grasp when it’s too late Why they must face that tragic fate And won’t be where God is permitted For all the evil they’d committed While others warned them to repent And so not go where they’ve been sent But since they really preferred evil They had to abide with the Devil
