PSE&G North East Grid Electric Transmission Reliability Project - TopicsExpress

PSE&G North East Grid Electric Transmission Reliability Project (Jersey City) Hello, The construction of PSE&G North East Grid (NEG) electric transmission reliability project is scheduled to resume on or about August 1, 2013. The construction will begin at the PSE&G South Waterfront Switching Station at Grand Street & Pacific Ave. and proceed to Monmouth Street. The NEG will upgrade overhead and add underground electric transmission circuits in northeastern New Jersey. It will deliver the increased electric capacity required by New Jersey businesses and residents, increase transfer capability, provide better power quality and reduce transmission system congestion. If possible, motorists are asked to find alternate routes and avoid this area, especially during times of peak traffic volume. PSE&G reminds motorists to slow down and be alert when driving near the construction zone. You can visit the project website, pseg/family/pseandg/powerline/reliability_projects/northeast/index.jsp, which is periodically updated. Please feel free to provide my email address, richard.dwyer@pseg, and the project toll-free number, 1-877-678-5784, to your neighbors or colleagues who may want to seek additional information about the project or to be added to the "Weekly Update" distribution list. Sincerely, Richard Dwyer, Public Affairs Manager Electric Transmission Construction
