PSF Lahore back in action with first corner meeting LAHORE: Hundreds of young men gathered on the roof of a 10-marla house and adjacent rooftops in Nizam Block, Allama Iqbal Town, on Wednesday night to revive the People’s Student Federation (PSF), the youth wing of the Pakistan People’s Party (PPP), in Lahore. “We have gathered here to start a PSF welcome campaign for PPP Chairwoman Benazir Bhutto, who will return to Pakistan soon,” said PSF Lahore Chief Organiser SM Ali Razi Kausar, who is also known as Razi Shah. He said that the PSF Lahore would speed up its activity for Bhutto’s welcome and the upcoming general elections. Razi Shah’s father Syed Kausar Shah said that he was surprised that so many youths had gathered at his house. He criticised the city administration for stopping the PSF from arranging its meeting at a green belt near his house and said that the young PSF activists had decided to hold the meeting on the rooftop instead. Addressing the gathering, PPP Punjab General Secretary Chaudhry Ghulam Abbas said that the people of Pakistan were suffering because of the government’s failed policies, adding that the PPP and the PSF would alleviate the people’s problems by continuing the agenda of the late Zulfikar Ali Bhutto. A resident attributed the large gathering of youth to the efforts of former PPP MPA Sardar Hur Bukhari and his father Ishtiaq Hussain Bukhari, also a former MPA of the PPP.
