PSG players offered £830k each to win Champions League Paris Saint-Germain players will earn a whooping £830,000 each should they get past Chelsea in the quarter- finals and go on to win the UEFA Champions League. Backed by Qatari billionaire Nasser Al- Khelaifi and with star players like Zlatan Ibrahimović, Edinson Cavani and Thiago Silva, Paris Saint-Germain have breezed to the final eight of this season’s competition. Manager Laurent Blanc played down his side’s chances of becoming only the second French side to win Europe’s elite club competition. “We’re a long way off from being in the final and winning it. The bonuses of the players isn’t my concern, it’s an internal matter for the club. “Some of the players would rather win it without getting a bonus.” Paris Saint-Germain will host the first leg on Wednesday 2 April. Blanc added: “To play the second leg at home is a small advantage to Chelsea. “Chelsea is a team we know well, we watch them often in the Premier League and they have very well- known players.”
