The news was confirmed via a statement released by the governing body, where it also stated that Head of Legal Advocate Mokitimi-Makhofola had been suspended. The statement read, in full, "The PSL Chief Operations Officer Cambridge Mokanyane has chosen to resign from the PSL with immediate effect, while the Head of Legal, Advocate Mokitimi-Makhofola has been put on suspension. "This is after the PSL Executive Committee had initiated a process to investigate delegation of authority issues that arose from the performance of their duties. "The PSL, as an employer, recognise the rights of Mokanyane and Advocate Mokitimi-Makhafola as employees. Since this matter falls under the employer-employee ambit, and has no bearing on the processes that ensure that the league activities are not compromised, the PSL will not elaborate on the details of the investigations. "To ensure a continued delivery of the league’s activities, stand-in arrangement have been made for the performance of their duties. The details of these ‘stand-in’ arrangements will be tabled at the Board of Governors meeting on the 17 October 2013. "The PSL will make no further comment on this matter."
