PSL question Aces’ Khenyeza call The Premier Soccer League - TopicsExpress

PSL question Aces’ Khenyeza call The Premier Soccer League believes Mpumalanga Black Aces were wrong to field Mabhuti Khenyeza in the season-opening match against Kaizer Chiefs last night. The Amakhosi won the match 1-0, but the big talking point was the inclusion of Khenyeza, who is serving a 12-month ban after being found guilty of spitting at a match official while playing for Ajax Cape Town against Mamelodi Sundowns. Chiefs lodged an appeal before the start of the match, and as it was, the striker twice came close to giving his side a share of the spoils. “Mpumalanga Black Aces was advised in writing prior to the psl that Khenyeza was under suspension, and that, according to our understanding of the SAFA Disciplinary Code, the effect of lodging an appeal does not cause the disciplinary sanction to be suspended pending the appeal. “Once we have received the necessary reports the League will consider further steps in accordance with our Constitution and Rules.”... *MST :)
