PSO enters KTTA Inter-Firm semis our correspondent Friday, July 25, 2008 From Print Edition KARACHI: The Pakistan State Oil (PSO) teams continued their winning streak as both their A and B outfits cruised into the semifinals of the team event, after clearing their quarter-finals in the 1st Karachi Table Tennis Association (KTTA) Inter Firm Table Tennis Tournament here on Wednesday evening at the Benazir Karachi Port Trust (KPT) Sports Complex. The PSO A men’s team recorded a straight 3-0 victory enroute to the semifinals over Allied Engineering B while PSO B beat Hino Pak Motor A to confirm their semifinals berth. KESC and New Jubilee Insurance were the other teams which reached the semifinals of the team event. Results: 1st stage matches — Johnson & Johnson beat Merck Limited 3-2. Pakistan Petroleum B beat Pakistan Refinery B 3-0. Second stage quarter-finals — Pakistan State Oil A beat Allied Engineering B 3-1. Pakistan State Oil B beat Hino Pak Motor A 3-0. New Jubilee Insurance beat Allied Engeering A 3-1. KESC beat Popular Fabrics 3-2. The KTTA Ranking Tournament will commence from Friday (today) at the Benazir KPT Sports Complex.
