(PT) A nova entrevista da Undergrounds Voice chega dos Estados Unidos! São os Pig Destroyer. Aqui fica: (EN) The new Undergrounds Voice interview comes from USA! Theyre Pig Destroyer. Here it is: U.V - First of all I have to say thats a big pleasure to have Pig Destroyer at Undergrounds Voice! So, for those who dont know you, can you talk a litle bit about the band? PD - Pig Destroyer is a grind band thats been around since 1997. A lot of very fast/short songs, and some doomy stuff in there also U.V - More than 15 years of career, congratulations! Hows your balance about all these years? PD - Well I just joined the band in 2013 as the first bassist, so I cant take any credit for the group being together that long U.V - The latest Pig Destroyer EP Mass & Volume was released last year. Which is the concept of that EP? PD - Its being labeled as a doom ep, that is getting a physical release October 14th through Relapse U.V - Can you talk about the composition/recording process of this material? PD - That was recorded during the final Phantom Limb sessions (before I joined the band) U.V - How were the public and critics reactions? PD - I havent read many reviews on it myself. Everything Ive read seemed positive though U.V - Tell us some differences between that EP and the previous albums? PD - Well this is only 2 tracks, and the songs are extremely long compared to previous PxDx material. U.V - Can we expect a new album soon? PD - With so much going on (Agoraphobic Nosebleed at MDF/Misery Index touring behind The Killing Gods/Fulgora signing w/ Housecore Records/New Hatebeak) I wouldnt say soon, but I can say some writing has begun. U.V - Hows your schedule at this time? PD - Can we wait for a gig here in Portugal soon? We are doing a few USA shows this year, and some European stuff (Temples Fest) is set for next year. Wed love to make it out that way! U.V - What can you tell us about the current American scene? PD - I cant complain. There are so many great bands touring and making new music now, its a great time for heavy music. With shows like Maryland Deathfest and Housecore Horror Film Festival getting bigger/better every year, its a good sign for metal in the USA U.V - Do you know something about the Portuguese scene? Are you fan of any band from here? PD - Im sure I have a lot to learn. Im familiar with Moonspell U.V - To finish I want to say thank you very much for this interview and my best wishes for the band! Last words for the portuguese fans? PD - Hope to see you soon, stay brutal!
