PTSD Youre not alone. I see the Demons and they lurk in the periphery of our minds. They wait and probe for an opportunity to breach our ramparts when our vigilance turns inward to attend our inner being. Every night they amass in our subconscious and await until the dawn to present themselves, haunting, taunting, luring us into a battle with ourselves that is lost at the tune of 22 casualties a day. Its a moral struggle between our conscience, the collective conscience, and God that beckons us to question our purpose, to make us wonder if what we did or what we witnessed was right or wrong. The answer doesnt lie in bottle. It doesnt lie with a thereapist. It doesnt lie at the muzzle of a gun or in a pill bottle. The answer lies within us and we only have to identify it and resolve our past - a quest that eludes many of us. Taking your life doesnt help anyone but you for an instance until it is over. It selfishly robs you of what you could have been and what others could have been because of you. Saving your life and sharing your secret to vanquishing your demons can save the lives of those that are still searching for answers within. Find your peace in life in the people that you love and who love you. Dont judge yourself, for none of us our perfect. You are human, you are still a warrior, and you still deserve a place among us in heaven and earth.
