PTSD is not only a military thing, it seems to be one of those - TopicsExpress

PTSD is not only a military thing, it seems to be one of those things hard to diagnose. Everyone has an opinion and no one dares question anyone about it. After reading what I have I get more and more confused. I think almost everyone who served in combat or went threw other traumatic experiences qualify for it but not all apply. I know a lot of Vietnam vets whos lives good or bad were influenced by their stress from combat. I didnt know you could stay on active duty or be in the reserves with PTSD. That you could be deployed with it and collect disability when you are not on active duty in the reserves or guard. In fact when you are on active duty you can choose witch to receive, duty pay or disability. It seems a little crazy to me but maybe it is PTSD. Always with new diseases there are more questions and I know there are many who deserve the help. After Desert Storm I went to Ft Gordon for medical check ups and it seems most of that was sociological. Whos to judge?
