PUC Chairman’s Book Published Lahore: Pakistan Ulema Council (PUC) Chairman Hafiz Muhammad Tahir Mahmood Ashrafi’s book, titled ‘Rawadari Seerat-e-Tayyaba Ki Roshni Main’ [forbearance in light of the life of holy prophet muhammad (pbuh)] has been published. In this book, Ashrafi has tried to highlight those aspects of the holy Prophet’s (pbuh) life that provide guidance on what should be the role of a convener/communicator and how muslims should live together in peace and harmony in society. The book presents all the wars fought during the life of holy Prophet (pbuh) in the form of a list, which indicates that the purpose of jihad is not to inflict bloodshed or violence but to support the oppressed against the oppressors. The book also answers questions that are commonly asked about jihad and propagation of islam. The aim is to prove that islam is not the name of forcing anyone to become muslim. Instead, islam guarantees protection and security to those who don’t accept the invitation of islam. The book also provides guidance on how muslims should treat fellow muslims and non-muslims. The book talks in detail about khutbah hajjatul wida [farewell sermon of the holy prophet (pbuh)]. Besides, it highlights some issues related to the creation of pakistan and stability in pakistan in light of the islamic shariah. Pakistan’s ambassador to poland and the grand mufti of poland have written letters to ashrafi in which they have not only paid tribute to him but also described this book as a “necessity” in this day and age. The grand mufti of poland has decided to publish more copies of this book in poland. Ashrafi has thanked pakistan’s ambassador to poland and the grand mufti of poland. He said that islam is a religion of peace and stability. “neither does islam sanction the killing of any innocent person nor does it allow any oppressor to commit atrocities. The concept of jihad is very clear in islam. Linking jihad to terrorism or associating any terrorist act with jihad is a complete violation of islamic teachings,” he said. Pr
