PUNCH PRESS OPERATOR NEEDED: JOB DESCRIPTION Our client provides a large inventory of stock enclosures, and manufactures custom electrical enclosures, traffic cabinets and control boxes. Each enclosure can be manufactured from a variety of materials, including aluminum , steel and stainless steel to meet NEMA standards as well as be equipped with different accessories. Our client has strict standards, high attention to quality, yet a flexible, outside-the-box attitude, all while maintaining a quick turnaround at competitive prices. POSITION SUMMARY: *Utilize previously prepared programs and assigned tooling to complete each job. *Set each job up based on program instructions, work order instructions and job prints *Change tooling as needed, make adjustments, maintain,& sharpen punches when required *Shear sheet metal when required, using shear. *Have a understanding of our different material types and characteristics. *Assist in other departments as required by Production manager. *Quality control checks: Check enclosures for cosmetic deformities and notify QC Manager / Production Manager of problems. *Be able to effectively and safely operate all equipment in the department once trained. *Keep work area clean and organized. Ensure a safe working environment. *Work any special projects are requested by management. *Innovation: Make recommendations to Production Manager regarding suggestions for improving efficiency, etc. *Notify Supervisor of any problems or Malfunctions of machine. JOB REQUIREMENTS Ability to listen and follow directions Attendance: You are required to clock in on time and be at your work station ready to work. Operator must be able to lift 40lbs. Ability to work with minimal supervision.
